EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
National Woman's Party & Sewall-Belmont House

The National Woman's Party, a historic, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that educates the public about equality for women, is seeking candidates for Executive Director.  The NWP preserves and interprets the Sewall-Belmont House, its National Historic Landmark headquarters on Capitol Hill, and its extensive historic collection to tell the story of the long struggle for legal, economic and societal equality for women.  

The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for overall supervision and management of a historic house museum and preservation/restoration project. Duties include fundraising, financial management, supervising small museum staff, and federal grant reporting.  Candidates must have two years successful, public or private, non-profit fundraising experience.  This position also requires five years prior financial management and supervisory experience as well as experience with federally funded projects.  Historic preservation experience, museum background and/or Master's degree in related field preferred.
