In a message dated 00-12-01 13:19:28 EST, you write:

<< Can you please tell me how to post an announcement of an NEH summer seminar
relevant to your subscribers? Thanks, Elizabeth Bartman >>

I didn't see a response to this question, and perhaps it's because people
didn't understand it (I'm certainly one). I think the answer, unless I'm
missing something, is to simply type your announcement and send it to the
list, just as you sent your question (or copy from a file and paste it into
the body of an e-mail). Please don't send it as an attachment, because (a)
some people can't open attachments, and (b) we're all afraid of viruses.
