The Mary Baker Eddy Library for the Betterment of Humanity invites
applications for new full-time, part-time, and temporary positions that are
available starting in early September at the Library's main facility in
Boston. As Shop Associate, you will provide service to visitors and sell
merchandise. As Visitor Services Associate, you will handle visitor access
and hospitality at the main Library facility in Boston such as selling
tickets and providing visitor orientation and individual assistance with the
exhibits.

Specifically, candidates are needed with customer service, retail, or
similar experience dealing in person with the public and preferably
tourists. Background or strong interest in history, public education, and
Mary Baker Eddy is a plus.

The Library, opening September 29, 2002, is a place where people come
together to explore the power of ideas throughout history to inspire
individuals and change the world, the contemporary search for life's deeper
meaning, and the ideas, life and achievements of Mary Baker Eddy. This
world-class Library provides on-site and online educational experiences,
programs, and exhibits, as well as user-friendly access to its collections
through reference and research services. Visitors will have the opportunity
to learn about the achievements of Mary Baker Eddy (1821-1910), an acclaimed
author, publisher, and religious leader whose ideas about spirituality and
health have changed the lives of millions. As its primary resource, the
Library will house the Mary Baker Eddy Collections, one of the largest by
and about an American woman.
