Hello all,

I am relocating to the Twin cities for personal reasons, and I need any advice people can give on the museum/nonprofit scene. I have a strong editorial background in museums and universities, and two years ago I integrated web technologies as part of my current position as a web editor for a major university.

I love my job, but I'm moving. Ideally I would like to find a position in a fine arts museum or a university, thinking of ways to best implement the web medium to serve the public. It's what I do now, and I'm always learning something new. We've had a bit of success here, and I know I could transfer that to wherever I end up. But it's a bit of a leap into the unknown for me, as I've spent most of my life on the East Coast, which is where I figured I'd spend the rest of my days.

I would appreciate any advice you all would want to give. I'm just starting on the job search, so I feel like I'm discovering a new country. The Twin Cities seem pretty progressive, and it seems like there's a thriving arts scene, so I'm hopeful. And yes, I've stocked up on my long underwear.
