The Tech Museum of Innovation
Full-Time Position Available
EXHIBIT DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

The mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation is to serve as an educational
resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and
experiencing technologies affecting their lives, and to inspire young
people to become innovators in developing technologies of the future.

The Exhibit Development Assistant works closely with the Exhibit Developer
in supporting and participating in the research and development of exhibit
content for the Innovation theme area.  This is a full-time, regular
position with standard employee benefits.

Responsibilities:
*  Providing administrative and clerical assistance for the Exhibit Developer.
*  Performing library, Internet, and phone research related to development
of exhibits.
*  Supporting the development and evaluation of exhibit prototypes.
*  Assembling information in support of cost estimates and materials lists.
*  Scheduling and coordinating meetings with advisors and consultants.
*  Taking notes and minutes of  meetings.
*  Other administrative and exhibit development duties as assigned.
*  Work as Museum Manager or Assistant Museum Manager on assigned weekend
days and holiday.

Requirements:
*  Resourcefulness and ability to work with a minimum of supervision
*  Basic business skills (filing, faxing, typing, etc.)
*  Enthusiasm for museum-based informal public education in the areas of
technology, science, and  engineering
*  College degree or enrolled in degree program in science, engineering,
education, or related fields
*  Computer skills (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, database) required
*  Fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin or Tagalog would be a plus

Salary (starting from):  $10.00/hr.
