Hi Listers -

I have a framing challenge I could use some help with. I have almost 20
years custom framing experience and this is a new one for me.

I need to frame an unstretched canvas approximately 30" x 40". The
image goes all the way to the edges of the canvas. I can not stretch it
because this would distort the image of the piece. A sewn mount be
visible from the front of the piece. Since I want the mount to be
totally
archival I don't want to use any kind of adhesive. Does anyone have any
suggestions? Is there a method of hinging a heavy canvas with wheat
paste ?

On another project I need to suspend a Life Magazine within a shadow box
frame. I would like to mount it without any visible supports, it must be
totally reversible and archival.

I welcome any and all advice.
Thanks - Ginny Pifko
