Web Developer

The mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation is to serve as an educational
resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and
experiencing technologies affecting their lives, and to inspire young
people to become innovators in developing technologies of the future.


The  Web Developer is a full-time, exempt position reporting to The Tech
On-Line Manager.

Responsibilities:
* Provide technical expertise to implement new web content.
* Maintain the structure of The Tech's web site.
* Introduce and integrate new web technologies.
* Serve as Museum Manager or Asst. Museum Manager on assigned weekend days
and holiday.

Requirements:
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and design web applications.
* Experience with CGI programming, HTML, Java, Java Script, UNIX tools and
editors.
* Proficiency with Mac, Windows and UNIX operating systems.
* Working knowledge of Perl and Shell scripting.
* Demonstrated hardware/software troubleshooting skills.
* Familiarity with TCP/IP networks and the Internet.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask among several projects.
* Graphics knowledge is a plus.
* Bilingual is a plus.
