Hi Lonnie,

Object-based tours are interpretive tours. All tours include the guide or interpreter providing a context for the information, and that's the interpretation. 

Object-based tours use the objects as the jumping off point of interpretation. For example, kitchen implements tell a story about the people who used them as well as the entertaining ambitions of the home's owners.
