We have had so many problems with audio cassettes, especially given our
constantly fluctuating power supply, that we have replaced them all by CDs; we
are similarly replacing our videotapes with laserdiscs. Yes, there is a setup
cost, but the ongoing maintenance is much less and they last much longer.
