Dear colleagues,

I would like to ask your advice. I received an offer for an eight-month
internship at the Getty Research Center, which I should accept or reject no
later than Monday. Through my sources I was also able to conclude that I am
very likely to receive another offer, this time for a job in a very
professional museum in Ohio, and also no later than Monday. (Keeping in
mind 3 hours of time difference, I may still be slightly ahead)

Now, asides from the fact that I would make in 8 months of internship in
L.A. practically the same money as in a year in this job in Ohio, other
factors abound. Location, the nature of the job and so on and so forth.
What I would like to ask you, however, is what would do more good to my
resume.  A job or an internship? Am I better off taking the Getty and
having such a prominent name on my resume? Or a job (Research Assitant) in
Ohio (as I said, also guite an important museum), thus breaking through the
internships into another level? If I do
take L.A., is it going to make it harder for me to make this transition
after?
