We used Advanced ARGUS for Windows from when it came on the market to now
(about 5 years). We did not choose to upgrade to Open Edition. We are
beginning to use PastPerfect and I'm excited about it! It looks easy to
learn and use and maintain and will work for both our 3-D and Library
collections. I also looked at Re:Discovery and it looked like a great
program but it was beyond our price range for our needs.

I suggest that you think about what your needs really are (how much
information do you need to store? who will retrieve the data and for what
purposes?), how many people will use the program, how much TIME you or
others will have to learn the program and MANAGE the software, and then
compare products and companies. Also, each company has different levels and
prices for technical support and it's worth comparing. And also consider
what hardware, if any, you may need to get to run the program.
