MANAGER OF SPECIAL EVENTS & INDIVIDUAL GIVING (mid-range experience)

For our major Westchester County museum client (just an easy and pleasant
MetroNorth ride from Grand Central), we are seeking a Manager of Special
Events & Individual Giving.  This position is responsible for the planning
and implementation of all museum-sponsored fundraising events, such as
luncheons and gala dinners, in addition to all fundraising activities
relating to individual donors, such as the museum’s membership program and
annual fund drive.

The Manager of Special Events & Individual Giving will plan a program of
fundraising events designed to maximize the amount of unrestricted dollars
raised to support the general operating costs of the museum (this will
include creating, overseeing and implementing 2-3 fundraising events
annually, including an autumn fundraiser, a salon dinner series and annual
gala); manage and facilitate all volunteer and committee involvement;
oversee and manage the budget; other fundraising activities.

In addition, the successful candidate will manage the museum’s membership
program, soliciting new members, overseeing all member’s-only special
events, preparing membership-related reports and maintenance forecasts, and
creating, overseeing and implementing solicitation appeals for the annual
fund.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, possess a positive outlook and have
outstanding personal, phone and communication skills.  A BA and some
experience in special events, membership and/or development are required.
Knowledge of Raisers Edge essential.  Easy and pleasant Metro North ride
