This is wonderful timing! The Science Museum of Minnesota is just about to
launch an object-of-the-month exhibit, which will have a museum-written
label, then invite visitors (all visitors) to write their own. These will
be entered via a computer kiosk and, after being screened for profanity and
reviewed for spelling, presented in the same manner. Our hope is that the
museum label will provide the facts, and the visitor-written labels will
provide the human responses. We specifically do *not* seek out "community
leaders." We feel those individuals have enough opportunity to be heard,
and are often officious or agenda-driven. We want to hear from the person
on the street.

Of course, we would not be the least bit surprised if we ended up learning
something factual from our visitors. They're a pretty sharp bunch. As the
blogosphere proves every day, all of us are smarter than any of us.
