The Tech Museum of Innovation
Full-Time Position Available
Head Guest Services Representative

The mission of The Tech Museum of Innovation is to serve as an educational
resource that engages people of all ages and backgrounds in exploring and
experiencing technologies affecting their lives, and to inspire young
people to become innovators in developing technologies of the future.


The Head Guest Services Representative oversees and handles admissions,
reservations and membership sales, and provides information about The Tech
to visitors.  In the absence of the Guest Services Supervisor, the Head
Guest Services Representative performs supervisory duties and be
responsible for opening, closing and reconciling the receipts of the
museum's admissions stations. The Head Guest Services Representative is a
full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Guest Services Supervisor.
The Tech currently has two openings for the Head Guest Services
Representative position.


Responsibilities:
- Assist the Guest Services Supervisor in promoting and ensuring
outstanding customer service standards for the museum's visitors.
- Provide information about The Tech by phone or in person in a timely
manner and courteously.
- Book reservations for groups and individuals according to established
procedures and policies.
- Handle general and group admissions, including payments, ticketing and
facilitation, according to established procedures and polices.
- Reconcile cash and perform end of day reports.
- Prepare and schedule lunch breaks when Supervisor is absent.
- Coach and develop Guest Services Representative to use initiative and
enthusiasm to engage customers and build sales.
- Perform and delegate general housekeeping to maintain the appearance of
the admissions and reservations areas.
- Act as ambassador for the museum. Dispense information and encourage
admissions and membership sales.
- Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and enthusiasm for dealing with the public and
especially children.
- Excellent communication skills, English proficiency and professional
phone manner.
- Previous retail sales and customer service experience required.
Supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point of sale systems.
- Accurate and detail oriented with paperwork and numbers. Excellent
problem-solving skills.
- Dependable, prompt and flexible to museum's needs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend and lift repeatedly.
- Must be available to work on holidays, weekends and/or evenings.
