Portland Museum of Art, Maine seeks highly motivated individual to
assume position available immediately.  Assist Registrar with
exhibitions, collections management, and loan processing.  Responsible
for maintenance of manual records, computerized collections database
(ARGUS for Windows) and photographic services.  Applicant should have
knowledge of museum registration methods, conditioning, art handling,
shipping and be familiar with copyright laws and rights and
reproduction.  Successful candidate will possess strong computer
skills, be self-motivated, accurate and attentive to detail.  BA in
Art History and 3 years registrarial experience preferred.  MA in
Museum Studies desirable.  Salary commensurate with experience.  Send
