Hi Gail,

We only use FedEx Custom Critical White Gloves Services for shipping artwork. We would never ship an artwork via regular FedEx. We have used regular FedEx for facsimiles valued at $50/each. I believe we have also used FedEx to return archival or low-value contemporary works, but only when the lender or artist specifically asks us to.

Exclusive-use art shipments are very expensive, but there are a lot of art shipping companies that offer a shuttle service at a discounted rate.

Hope that helps.
Best regards,
Amber

Colleagues,

Does anyone use FedEx for shipping artworks? If so, what kind of limitations do you have? For instance, works under a certain value.

I am trying to figure out what the current thought on this is.

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,

Gail Kana Anderson
