Columbia University
Head Curator, Visual Resources Collection

Columbia University’s Department of Art History and Archaeology seeks Head
Curator to provide leadership in reorganizing a major collection, including
over 500,000 slides.  Selected candidate will play a key role in developing
the collection for the 21st century.  Additional duties include directing
staff and daily operations.

Mater’s degree in Art History and/or Master’s in Library Science and a
least 3 years experience as a curator of a slide/photograph collection
required.  Knowledge of automation and cataloging systems necessary.
Reading knowledge of German, French, Italian and Japanese useful.
