A patron of our museum brought in a shawl to donate the other day. After
explaining to her it did not meet our collection policy I promised I
would see if I could locate a museum that might be interested in
acquiring it. I know nothing about this type of object so I can only
tell you what she told me. She says it was made by the Chinese in the
early 1900s, and purchased as part of a dowry by a Spanish family. It is
quite beautiful and in excellent condition.

If anyone is interested in finding out more about this let me know.
Thanks,
Phyllis
