Even reputable institutions can produce "rides" like the Viking village.
Many years ago when I visited San Diego, I went to the wild animal park.
They had a ride there which was the only way to see some of the animals.
If I recall correctly they charged each time you wanted to take the tour.
It was a beautiful park, but I objected to paying to get in and each time
in order to see some of the animals.
