The Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies is now recruiting for a Museum Program Specialist to manage our museum schools program and initiate Smithsonian Institution-wide programs to serve the District of Columbia Public Schools.  This is a Federal position, GS-1001-9/11, with a salary range between $35,310 - $42, 724. Candidates must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.  Specialized experience is experience which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.  

To qualify based on education: 
GS-9: two full years of progressively higher level graduate education or Master's or equivalent degree; 

GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree related to the position may be substituted for the specialized experience.
