Once, for the opening of exhibits in a newly constructed building wing, we
were finished far enough in advance to have press and member previews. We
were still working on things that didn't require piles of tools or
materials in the gallery, and we kept working on those things even after
our public opening. The early deadline had been on the project schedule
from the beginning.
