** World First - Dinosaur captured in the Auckland Domain!
In a world first, a female dryosaur recently captured in Auckland Domain has
come to live in the Auckland Museum. Here she will receive ongoing expert
care and maintenance under the watchful eye of their in-house
palaeontologist.
** New Dinosaur Species Has Scientists Excited
Scientists near Lake Powell discovered the fossilized remains of a creature
so terrifying that if they'd found it 93 million years ago, it probably
would have had them for lunch
** Newfound Dinosaur Wasn't Sticking Its Neck Out
Sauropod dinosaurs, the group of herbivores that included the largest land
animals that ever lived, are renowned for their incredibly long necks
** Rockford officials hope junior T. rex fossil puts museum on the map
Jane, an unusually complete skeleton of a juvenile Tyrannosaurus rex found
in Montana, will go on public display Wednesday at the Burpee Museum of
Natural History in Rockford - about 100 miles northwest of more famous T.
