Seeking GALLERY EDUCATOR


The Queens Library Gallery in Jamaica, New York is looking for an  Gallery
Educator.  The ideal candidate is a graduate student interested in art
education who enjoys working with young adults.  This is a part-time
position (aprox. 15 hours per week) that lasts November 1999 - June 2000 (25
weeks).  The stipend for the internship is $3500.  Stipend will be pro-rated
if applicant is available to begin earlier.   Internship may also be credit
eligible.

This is an excellent opportunity to:

work in an innovative exhibition space with a diversified public audience
develop a new Teen Docent program
participate in Gallery Education initiatives
