Dear Christopher,
I'd love to talk more with you about your program. We are entering our fourth summer of the internship program here at the Hall (my second year as coordinator). While our program is running quite successfully, I was surprised to not hear much about what other museums are doing with internship programs and would like to know what issues others are facing in regard to college-age interns.
I'll be sure to check your website.
Thanks for the email.
Melissa

There has been much discussion on the list about internship programs. I am surprised you couldn't find anything. The Intrepid has a growing program that is an integral part of our Education Department.

Subject: Internship Programs

I am the intern coordinator at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. I would like to connect with other museum professionals who work with interns or who have an established intern program at his/her museum. I have searched the archives of this list serve and AAM's website and am surprised to find no information on internships, other than internship positions openings. I'd like to know if there are others out there dedicated to intern education in the museum. Melissa Krok Assistant Manager, Education Programs [log in to unmask] 607-547-0313
