You may be interested in the University of
Minnesota's newest library that opened in 2000.
One hundred thousand cubic yards of sandstone and
shale were excavated from the bluffs of the
Mississippi River in Minneapolis to form two
caverns.  Each cavern is two stories high and the
length of two football fields.  You can read more
