New $35 million project being built in downtown
Orlando in the 1927 Orange County Courthouse.
Includes a total sensory experience inside with 13
permanent exhibits, 15 audio/video presentations, an
orientation theater, a traveling exhibit hall for
national exhibits, rental spaces for community
functions, educational programs and a community park
called Heritage Square.  All of the capital for this
project is in place and this new facility will open
September 29, 2000.

Primary Function: Responsible for developing all
aspects of a comprehensive ongoing development program
including major gifts, sponsorships, special events
and annual fund.  Immediate goal is to generate $1M+
annually and complete additional $1M endowment.

Professional Experience Expected: Minimum of three
years as a Development Officer with significant
responsibility for major gifts, prospect
identification, cultivation and solicitation, and
proven tract record of accomplishments.  Thorough
knowledge of the giving community in Central Florida
and established relationships with funders are
essential.

Reporting Relationships: Executive Director and Board
of Directors.
