Loretta,

Yes! Yes! A resounding yes!  For both myself and a fellow recent museum
studies graduate who were both hired after our first interview, the common
consideration a thank you note shows is always appreciated, especially one
that is handwritten.  We both also sent notes to the assistants who made our
flight arrangements and anyone else at the museum who made the interviewing
process easier, an effort that shows your respect for fellow employees, and
that you have a team player mindset.  Not to mention it serves as a subtle
reminder of who you were, and its not as intrusive as a follow-up call can
be.
