Hi all,

Does anyone know if Ziplock brand bags are archivally safe?
I attended a workshop on textile preservation and was told
that as long as a bag was Ziplock brand that it was OK to
use. Is there any truth to that? With all of the new bag
sizes out there, it seems like a nice, cost-effective
solution for some of our storage needs even beyond textiles.
Can Ziplocks be used only with certain types of artifacts?
Are there long term effects I should be aware of? Should the
bags be totally sealed if they are OK to use?

Thanks in advance!
