This is a transition period between shellac and varnish finishes so you
might want to test any remedies out in some unobstrusive place first.  If it
is shellac alchol rubbed in quickly with a lint-free cloth with a cotton
ball wrapped in it will help.  If it is varnish the rottenstone and mineral
oil trick will work.  Or you can try a little paste wax.  Good luck.  MBJ in
