"The Facets of Digital Reference" will highlight digital reference service
in all contexts: libraries and information centers, education, Intranets,
the commercial sector, government, and more. Building on the success of the
VRD 1999 Digital Reference Conference with over 250 attendees from across
the globe (http://www.vrd.org/conferences/VRD99/conf99.html), this
conference will explore the nature of Internet-based, human-mediated
information service in all areas, as well as examine issues in providing
digital reference and expert information service.
