Dear Annmarie,
You might try the Castle Museum of Saginaw County. This excerpt is
from their web page:

A French castle designed to honor the French heritage of Saginaw.
Originally a federal building, it is now the home of the historical
museum. It features voyageurs, archaeology, and exhibits on Saginaw
County and state history. There are also souvenirs of the museum
available. Smithsonian traveling exhibits are on display several
times during the year.
