I hesitate to tread into this newgroup inasmuch as I see endless
references to "spam," a consumable which I detest, but I'll tread onward
with only a little fear.

I am a collector of antique and modern Japanese lacquerware. Although
my references suggest numerous ways to cleanse these pieces of art, I
would like to solicit information about the techniques used by
"professional" curators/museums. I also invite comments, information,
anecdotes, etc. about these
wonderful pieces of art. I have no hesitation in sharing within the
newsgroup, but if others feel it inappropriate, I will be happy to
maintain a private email communication.

Thanks in advance, I am Allen Feldman ([log in to unmask])
