My advice is to show them to a good lawyer, and carefully explain that
you wish to acquire title to both physical and intellectual property to
the gift.

The document should also provide a declaration that the signator (donor)
is in a legal position to transfer title.  Either they are the owner, or
can provide evidence that they are the authorized agent acting for the
donor.

On a related note you might also wish to look at your temporary deposit
agreement to add a clause automatically transfering ownership of an
object on deposit to your institution if the depositor does not come to
claim it so many weeks/months/years after the agreed date of return.
This could be a method to keep from having abandoned objects which can't
be used, conserved, exhibited or disposed of because you lack clear
title.  The legality of this approach should be checked with your
solicitor however.
