Subject: Internship in the US

Dear list,

I am currently enrolled in a masters programme Art History and History
in Berlin, Germany. After several
museum internships in Germany I would like to widen my horizons and
gain
some experience in the American museum
field. Therefore I am now looking for an internship in an American art
museum for the months of August and/or September
2004. Unfortunately I am very restricted to these dates due to my
class
schedule.
Could any of you give me some advice as to which institutions to
apply?
I know that the "big" institutions like the MoMa; the Met etc.
have fixed dates for internships, which would not be possible for me,
as
the German vacation time differs from the American.
And does anyone know how the chances for a European citizen to be
taken
and to fulfill visa requirements are? I am very grateful
for any help.
On request I can send you a detailed CV off-list.
Thank you all very much,
Jessica
