Dear Museum-L'ers,

          Do any of you know of any rules or regulations (or have
          practical advice to offer!) regarding establishing the value
          of historical artifacts?  Just using the face value wouldn't
          place them at much more than garage sale prices but I know
          the historical significance is much more.

          Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

          Please reply off list as well as on list (if you think
          people are interested) because my file server is somewhat
          unpredictable, and I don't regularly get the museum-l
          postings.
