According to my sources was "Sunflowers" bought in 1987 by the Japanese
insurance compagny Yusada for US $ 39.5 million.

One, I believe, was "Sunflowers" by Van Gogh. In the last week there
has been some question as to the authenticity of the work.

A colleague sent me the following query. I don't know the answer--does
anyone else?

> What are the names of the paintings (2 I believe)
> purchased in 1989 by a Japanese Businessman? Also, the total sale price as
> well as the name of the artist/s would be greatly appreciated (smile).
