Surrey Museums Consultative Committee commissioned an Access Audit of
all the 30+ museums in Surrey (not all chose to take part).    The
individual museum's reports are confidential, but I can send you a
copy of the overall report.  There were conclusions for individual
museums, as well as for SMCC as a whole (SMCC is a support service for
independent, local authority and military museums).

We included intellectual access as well as physical and sensory access
- the examples of good practice for intellectual access are a bit
sparse, but they are growing.

We are also trying to gather examples of best practice in the areas of
Access Policy and Access Plans, and would be pleased to receive any
that colleagues are prepared to share.
