If you need to just see the catalog (or photocopy a lot number), many art
museum libraries maintain collections of auction catalogs.  You could call
the one nearest you to find out.

If you wish to buy the catalog, many out-of-print book dealers sell them.  I
am not sure that Sotheby's would be able to provide a catalog that was that
old.  In the world of publications the 1980's might as well be the 1880's,
because items go out of print within a year or less. It costs money to store
those remainders :-)
