You can subscribe to any listserv by typing:

subscribe <listname> <your name>

in the body of an email message and sending it to:

any listserv address (e.g., you could subscribe to listserv list by
sending the above info to Museum-L's listserv address! cool, huh?)

However, when I tried this for ArtDis-L I got the following response:

"No LISTSERV list by the name of "ARTDIS-L" is known to exist. Note
that
lists can be marked "confidential" and that the existence of such lists is
usually known only to the server that is actually hosting it."

So, maybe you have the name wrong, or maybe it is a majordomo list and
not a listserv list.

You could search for lists pertaining to art and disabilities at the
liszt directory, www.liszt.com .
