Hi

I gave the request to our educations officer. Here is her reply.
Hope it helps. If you need anything else please contact her directly.

 Some questions are:
1. How much do you charge per child? per adult? How did you figure
this amount? Do you feel it satisfies your budget?

* We charge R60.00 (that is about $10) per person. It does not
completely satisfy the budget, but we would not like to put the
opportunity ouside reach of many South African children. We
specialise in offering the overnight to children (then the adults,
usually teachers, will be in control, and therefore we do not charge
them.

2. How many overnights do you have in a week? How many
staff/instructors do you have per overnight? Do you require them to be
CPR/First Aid certified?

*Sometimes two overnights a week, but generally only during Friday
nights. We are two from the Museum and expect one teacher per 10
children to be with the group. I am usually in charge and I have
first aid training.

3. How many people do you accomodate in one night? Do you offer any
food - such as dinner, snack, breakfast?

*Any number of persons between 20 and 100 can be accomodated! It
depends on the group, the age and the theme they require. We offer a
light supper at 6pm, cold drinks at 9pm, a midnight feast (sweets,
hot or cold drinks, cake, potato chips and all the goodies children
LOVE!!!

4. What is your safety procedure? For example: do you give an
orientation of your facility? Do you have separate child and adult
orientation? Who gives the orientation?

*There is a security person in the Museum present at all times. The
education officer in charge will give an orientation before the
programme starts. Child & adult orientation differ only in the level
of info given. The programme consists of videos, talks, slide
programmes and a lot of self-activities. It starts at about 6 pm and
is finished the next day at about 9 am.

If you need any more information, feel free to contact me
