I'm looking for information for a friend about recent problems
     regarding deaccession policies, especially relating to the
     developments at the New York (City? State?) historical society and
     reactions to those problems.  I know that there was something on the
     list several months ago, but I seem to have deleted it.  I'm not
     versed in collections policy, so your all of your information and help
     would be much appreciated.  Please reply off-list. Thank you very
