Have you taken a look at Technical Report No. 16 put out by Archives and

Museum Informatics? It is called Interactive Multimedia in American Museums
by Stephanie Eva Koester. She has interviewed museum people, designers and
software companies about what is currently being used in museum multimedia.
Their Conference Proceedings also have information about various
database systems that museums around the world have used. Their address is:
5501 Walnut St., Suite 203 Pittsburgh 15232-2311. Phone (412)683-9775
FAX (412)683-7366
