Walter;

Try [log in to unmask]

The Canadian War Museum has digitized its war art collection which I believe
is the largest in the world, at approximately 14,000 original works of art.
All is stored on CDs and I think it impossible that they have not developed
a retrieval system based on period, subject, medium artist, etc. - not
exactly what you're looking for, but close enough for government work!

I believe they've done it using their Australian "KE-EMU" database, one of
the old OZ's most useful products, though, personally, I prefer the
wonderful Shiraz from the Hunter Valley.

 Ponder her ways and grow wise."
