This panel discussion, which is free and open to the public, will address
fundamental museological issues, such as:
* Does artwork produced by women possess a special sensibility or aesthetic
  that is different from art created by men?
* What are the historical and social factors that make artwork created by women
  less valued, collected and displayed than that of their male counterparts?
* Are museums attemping to rectify this imbalance, and if so, how?

* Josephine Withers, Professor of Art History, University of Maryland
* Phyllis Rosenzweig, Curator, Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden
