Hi, all
Well, we're still rocking and rolling, but not to the extent we did on
Sunday!  There was some damage up here (I know of one house in Fairbanks
that was lifted off its foundation and set down 3 feet over, and then huge
gashes opened up in the Park Hwy and the Richardson Hwy, and the Tok Cutoff
is only partially open because of slides).  My son's school shut down
yesterday (until further notice) because the water turned black and there
was a question of structural stability.  I don't know when it will open
again.

The collection here fared well.  Only a couple of open map drawers, and,
amazingly, nothing shook off the shelves!  I've not heard anything about
Kennecott, but the problem there would be more from avalanches rather than
the shaking.

We're continuing to have aftershocks that range from about 2.4 to 5.2 about
every 4 to 6 minutes.  Yikes.  Pretty unnerving after awhile.
