The Southeastern Colorado Heritage Center in Pueblo, Colorado has an
opening for Museum Curator. The primary responsibilities of the position
are to care and manage the museum collecions, develop and implement public
programming, coordinate the museum store and volunteer program and assist
in historical research and other duties as necessary for the installation
of exhibits and other museum operations.

The Heritage Center is a new, local history museum, scheduled to open its
first exhibit gallery in December. Qualifications: B.A. in History,
Education, or a related field. Experience in public programming and museum
collections care.  Effective teaching skills, excellent written and verbal
communciation skells, computer confidence and creativity desired.

Salary is $29,000. Position to start in January, 2002.  Send resume with 3
