In the  year of election time!!!!

Question:  I was under the impression that a non-profit 501(c)
(3) museum could not support or allow political activities on
its property.  However, I've recently was told that one museum
has a ole' time living history political ralley.  Where actual
candidates running for office set up a lemon-aid stand, small
table, and then is allowed five minutes to speak.  They felt
that as long as a museum does not promote a candidate, and keep
it historical, as a political candidates do/did come to fairs
it was acceptable.  I am off the feeling that this is still
not allowed.
