The University of Washington’s Museology Program is pleased to announce 
that the exhibit “Race Are We So Different?” is the winner of its first 
Transforming Museums Award. The award will be accepted by Paul Martin, 
Vice President Exhibits, Science Museum of Minnesota, at the 
Transforming Museums Conference in Seattle May 22 and 23.

Other nominations for the award were the Detroit Institute of Arts for 
its new installation and the California Academy of Science for its green 
building. Conference registration is still open and a limited number of 
rooms available at the Hotel Deca, the conference site.
