Dear Eric:

The "Arts & Leisure" section of the February 11, 1996 New York Times has a
(pretty depressing) article entitled "Historical Shows on Trial: Who
Judges?" The article refers to the Enola Gay exhibition; "Back of the Big
House," at the Library of Congress; the upcoming Irish show at the Museum
of the city of New York; the 1991 National Museum of American Art show,
"The West as America"; and the Smithsonian's 1987 "A More Perfect Union:
Japanese Americans and the U.S. Constitution."

Incidentally, I read the article on the New York Times web page
(http://www.nytimes.com).

Good luck with this fascinating project!
