Linda,

Not a 'neighborhood' program per se, but this past year we originated a
Founder's Day program with one elementary and one middle school in our
city. We left it to each school's teachers to decide how they would
participate to raise student awareness of their school's namesake. In
the middle school, they held art, writing and technology contests that
prompted students to do research at our museum about the man for whom
their school was named. We did a program with them using primary
documents and artifacts related to the family. We plan to work with two
other city schools in the coming year to continue the partnership.

Best,
Carolyn
